Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to question the way in which the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, who changed the unfortunate history of a nation forever, is addressed in news portals. For this purpose, "Columns Corpus V2", which was published as part of the TS Corpus Project, was used as a source. In the "Columns Corpus V2", the big data consisting of 17 million 138 thousand 838 words and 24 thousand 562 columns obtained from the internet portals of various newspapers and news sites between 2011-2016 was analyzed. In the columns in different news internet portals, the collocations, adjective choices, the usage of the word itselfand, and the contexts of the word were examined within the historical background of this study
