Abstract

The uncertainty and the absolute necessity of change, which appear as unchanging reality in every environment from global to local, is an undeniable fact of today's management practice, which is called the Post Modern management process. The post-modernist management approach refers to the period in which customer or citizen expectations of institutions become personalized and diversified, and also, competition between organizations becomes destructive and difficult in an uncertain and unpredictable environment. The need for flexibility and agility in the fast-growing situations of the post-modern management period increases the need for organizational environments dominated by visionary, participatory, democratic, and transformational leaders rather than just a productivityoriented traditional leadership approach. The source of this need is the development of innovative and strategic decisions in the face of unexpected developments and "disruptive innovation". Post-Modern leadership styles (Charismatic, Visionary, Transformational, and Democratic Leadership) that offer the competitive advantage that organizations need for sustainable and effective management practice and are developing are discussed within the scope of the study. Leadership behaviors of Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, whose name is always mentioned in the top ranks in various platforms and rankings and who exhibit leadership behavior beyond the age, have been examined within the scope of information obtained from secondary sources, especially in post-modern leadership styles, and his characteristics that set an example for these developing concepts are summarized. It is seen that the Great Leader sets an example for all leadership styles with his participatory, visionary, democratic, and charismatic aspects. The results of the study are considered to have significant contributions to the literature with concrete examples while improving our understanding of the newly developing post-modern leadership styles.
