The aim of this research is to determine the effect of teaching the subject of Properties of Items in Primary School 4th Grade Science Lesson on student success by using interactive teaching method. In this study, a quasiexperimental design model with a control group was used. In the research, a total of 61 students studying in the fourth grade of primary school in the state school in Çekmeköy district of Istanbul constitute in the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. In our research, 30 of the randomly selected students constitute our experimental group and 31 of them constitute our control group. While the interactive teaching method was used to the students in the experimental group, the lessons were explained to the students in the control group with the direct lecture method and question-answer technique. “Achievement test” as the first test and data collection tool as post test was applied. Data analysis was done using SPSS Windows 25.0 statistical program. According to the results of the analyzes, it was observed that the academic achievement of the students in the experimental group, in which the interactive educational activities were applied, increased significantly in the post-test data.
