"Communiqué on the Licensing, Maintenance and Operation of Cable Transportation Installations Designed to Carry People", which is a regulation that provides information on the licensing, maintenance and operation of cable transportation installations designed to carry people, has been prepared to ensure the safety of cable transportation installations in Turkey. This communiqué determines the standards regarding the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of cable transportation installations and includes the necessary measures to ensure the safety of these installations.
The main purpose of the communiqué is to increase the safety and quality of cable transportation installations such as cable cars, chair lifts, telecabines and gondolas used to transport people. For this purpose, the communiqué focuses on the following issues: Licensing process, technical standards and conformity assessment, operation and maintenance procedures, emergency plans and training.
The Communiqué on Licensing, Maintenance and Operation of Cable Transportation Installations Designed to Carry People is an important regulation to ensure the safety and quality of cable transportation installations and determines the standards regarding the operation and maintenance of these installations. Acting in accordance with the requirements of this circular is important to ensure the safety of cable transport installations.
In addition to regular maintenance and inspections, safety protocols and standards must be strictly followed to prevent cable car accidents. Additionally, it is important that operators and staff are constantly trained and prepared for emergency scenarios.
Our aim in this study is; To ensure regular maintenance and safety inspections to prevent cable car accidents, to establish a state-supported system in which operators and technical personnel will receive adequate training, and to create the necessary conditions to minimize the risks in accidents by strictly applying safety protocols. In addition, it is very important to constantly monitor weather conditions and other external factors and take necessary precautions.
